My Week(end) With Marilyn

12.06.2013

Last night, I was so excited to find that My Week with Marilyn was on Netflix. I've always been fascinated by the beauty and tragedy of Ms. Monroe's life, and the movie really peeled back the layers and captured the charm, insecurity, and vulnerability of the girl behind the glamour. The movie focused on the time she spent shooting The Prince and the Showgirl in London during her third marriage (to playwright Arthur Miller), and the relationship she developed with the movie producer's young "gofer," Colin Clark. It showed the difference between Marilyn the icon Marilyn the woman

Michelle Williams did such an amazing job of portraying the troubled, but vivacious starlet. And how gorgeous is she in this photo shoot by Annie Leibovitz in Vogue?

Highly recommend adding to your weekend queue. Have a relaxing weekend!

  2. I watched it for the first time this weekend, too! So well done! I'm a huge fan of Arthur Miller's work and recently picked up a bio about his relationship with Marilyn, and this movie has been on my list for quite some time. Honestly, I swooned over Eddie Redmayne during the entire thing ;)
