Noteworthy: Small Shops

10.08.2013

As a blogger, you have to be at least one part entrepreneur (someone's got to take care of the coding, managing ads, social media, etc., etc.), so it's no surprise that some of my favorite small businesses have grown from some of my favorite blogs. It's always inspiring to me seeing businesses, especially ones run by women, launch and grow, so I couldn't help but share a few of my favorite product lines & carefully curated shops – all filled with goodies you won't find anywhere else.

Alex's blog (Dreams + Jeans) is one of my daily reads and her shop is full of gorgeous photography. She has a definite talent for capturing amazing light in day-to-day scenes. My picks: Peonies III & Morning.

Meg Biram's newly launched shop is full of handpicked goods with serious cool girl style. My picks: this embossed leather iPhone case & this ceramic cloud art.

A soon-to-launch home goods shop by Kelly of Fabulous K (& her mom!) that you'll definitely want to bookmark. Anxiously awaiting its arrival over here.

A stylish entertaining & picnic goods line (think geometric patterns and hand-finished wood serving boards) by Sarah Sherman Samuel, hand crafted in the U.S.A. My picks: the hexagon serving board (perfect for wine & cheese nights!) & the b&w polka dot napkins.

So tell me – what are some of your favorite small shops? #shopsmall

  3. I love shopping small businesses, especially for gifts! It's so nice to give something truly unique that can't be found just anywhere. I've been pretty into Etsy, but sometimes things can get a bit too rustic for my taste and the number of shops is slightly overwhelming...I'll definitely check these shops out! Thanks Melissa!
